New Executive Vice President of Grain and Risk Management Announcement

Tim Cassidy - EVP Grain and Risk Management

West Des Moines, IA – September 22, 2021 Heartland Co-op announced today that Tim Cassidy has been selected as the cooperative’s Executive Vice President of Grain and Risk Management. Cassidy, who has served as the Director of Grain Origination at Heartland Co-op since May of 2020 will succeed Todd Phillips. Prior to joining Heartland Co-op, Tim worked for Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) from 2005 to 2020 in the Oilseeds Division at seven different locations across North America. Tim will assume his new role effective immediately.

Cassidy grew up in Southeast Wyoming working on a cattle Ranch. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.A. degree in Agricultural Economics.  He began his career at ADM in Quincy, Illinois as a Merchandiser.  During his 16 years at ADM he had been promoted to Commercial Manager of several Soybean Processing Plants in the US and a Canola Processing Plant in Lloydminster, Canada. Tim, wife, Shay, and their two sons, Jameson and Levi, will remain in the Des Moines area.

The organization serves more than 6,000 members with operations in grain handling and marketing, fertilizer and application, agriculture chemicals and application, livestock feed and processing, agriculture energy products, and propane.
